Nanjing Putian Telecommunications Co., Ltd., the former Nanjing Communication Apparatus Factory approved by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication, was established in 1958, which developed from two factories, the one is Subsidiary of Jiangsu Post and Telecommunication School (it was called national-owned Nanjing Automatic Telephone Factory after it is passed to the Nanjing administration at the beginning of 1959), and the other is Subsidiary of Nanjing Telecommunication Bureau (it was called locally national-owned Nanjing Long-distance Telecommunication Mechanical Factory after it is passed to the Nanjing administration at the beginning of 1959). These two factories incorporated into Nanjing Telecommunication Equipment Factory in May of 1961 and renamed as Jiangsu Post and Telecommunication Equipment Factory in December of the same year, which are both administrated by Jiangsu Post and Telecommunication Administration Bureau. It was renamed as Nanjing Post and Telecommunication Equipment Factory after administrated by the Ministry of Posts sand Telecommunication in September of 1962.
